Saeko grew up in Tokyo, Japan, and wanted to be a hairstylist for her entire life. When she was just a young girl, her mother would bring her to the nearby hair salon. She felt so relaxed and was very impressed that the stylists could create such a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. She knew she wanted to do this herself one day as a hairstylist.
After she graduated from Nihon Beauty Academy, she decided to study abroad in the UK. During her time in London, she realized that one day she wants to share her Japanese hairstyling skills in a foreign country. So as soon as she is back, she paid her dues as a hairstylist assistant for a few years, then eventually got a job as a hairstylist at Ego salon in Tokyo. When she finally felt that she was skilled enough to bring the Japanese style to another country, she chose NYC as a place to move, where she dreamed about as the worldwide center of fashion and beauty!
That’s how Saeko landed in NYC in June of 2014 to follow her dreams. After serving 7 years at Ridge Salon in the East Village, experiencing cultural diversity through haircutting and coloring, She is happily joining Three Degrees Salon in September 2021.
She is renowned for hair coloring, haircutting for long medium layers, and Japanese straightening. From her childhood experiences, she values the relationship with her clients very much - she listens to what clients want while suggesting professional perspectives/advice and creating the best suit style together with them. Her working style has often earned a big trust of clients and built a strong bond with them. Her dream career continues here at Three Degrees.

I had a haircut and deep conditioning at Three Degrees, both done by Saeko. Saeko did a fantastic job at cutting my hair. I was unsure about whether the style I wanted would fit me, and she spent time to listen to my concerns and discussed what would look best on me. I appreciate the fact that she didn't rush me through the discussion process despite me being her last client for the day. Saeko's customer service is top notch! Her work is amazing too - she was very detailed and would walk me through her steps. She also gave me some tips on hair care and hair styling. Oh and she gives AMAZING head massages 🙂 The deep conditioning treatment is really worth it too.. my hair was given four (FOUR!) treatment layers which made my hair feel finally normal again. I was also given a take-home kit of 4 treatment masks, so the price is totally worth it. I felt truly pampered during my appointment. Totally recommend this place a 100% and would definitely come back!
